About this module
Kiwi is a vigorous vine that quickly grows out of control if not grown on a solid supporting structure and pruned regularly. Proper pruning controls the size of the plant and increases the yield, so knowing how to cut a kiwi vine is an essential part of growing kiwi fruit.
Set in a peaceful and idyllic virtual kiwifruit orchard, novice pruners learn how to properly prune kiwifruit vines during the winter season, gaining points along the way.
By the end of the module, the learner will be able to prune kiwifruit vines to a basic level in an orchard, using the right PPE, tools, and techniques to prune and then tie down vines.
